BURGER HUNT PT. 2: The Stand with Gino Belassen (Belhaus)
For our second stop on the burger hunt, we went to The Stand. A sweet lil burger shop on 35th St. and Indian School. We wanted to bring a friend, someone to eat burgers with. So we called on our good pal Gino Belassen, a big shake aficionado and lover of burgers and good fries.
A couple of fun things about Gino, he’s a kickass artist … like really kickass. For sure go check out his IG and most definitely go check Belhaus, an art gallery and coffee shop on Grand Ave. that he RUNS!

We would like to introduce you to the “The Control” this is a burger setup that we are going to be using at every stop on this hunt, this is the baseline burger.
Meat, cheese, house sauce, and onions.
Simple. Easy. when done right, there aren’t many that beat it.

The Control:
Easily the best burger at the stand, the meat is thin, but not too think, the cheese is melted to perfection, and the bun is sexy. What’s not to love?

Evil Standard:
I would pass on this; this is supposed to be the spicy version of the standard, but it was just messy, and the flavors didn’t pop.

Big Kahuna:
Sid likes this one! Messy, but the pineapple is pretty fun. Not a burger I would get every time, but this is the place to get my pineapple fix. Bryan, on the other hand … was not a fan.

Grand Royale:
A lot is going on here when you look at it, but when you eat it, the opposite happens.

SHAKES:
The Stand makes some BOMB SHAKES! NEXT LEVEL! DREAMY, SEDUCTIVE SHAKES!
YOU HAVE TO GET THE BANANA SHAKE, never thought I would say this, but its the REAL DEAL!
Also, get the chocolate shake because chocolate shakes are the best.
We didn’t have room for their other shakes, but based on feedback, they are all worth trying ❤️
